Just a quick anecdote...and a fun little story about family...
'M'e Lerato has been building a house and her family moved into this 'work in progress' last month. It's not finished so the walls are not sealed--to say the least--and even if they were, the way windows are (screenless) here the mosquitos can be rampant at night. She's been complaining about how bad they are, so I said to Benno last week, "Next time you have to run into Bloemfontein (the big city) see if you can buy a mosquito net. We'll give it as a house-warming gift."
Our mosquito net is invaluable, and we appreciate being able to lay in bed and listen to the humming, buzzing...from the OTHER side--well protected! That's why I knew how much 'M'e Lerato's family would appreciate one.
So, the gift was purchased and given yesterday.
This morning 'M'e Lerato is marvelling at how wonderful it was NOT to be eaten alive last night! "Everyone wanted inside that net," she reported. So there was the whole family piled in for protection from the bugs. I just chuckled to her, picturing this, and we both had a good laugh about how the net is bringing the family together.
Nothing like a mosquito net to bring a family CLOSE!
